Milies

Milies (Greek Μηλιές (f. pl. ), Until 2008 officially Milee Μηλέαι ) is a mountain village in the municipality is in the southern Pelion Pelion Notio. Milies located 28 km from the city of Volos. The town's name means apple trees ' - in the vicinity of the place, there is still some apple orchards. A specialty of the area are the mountain apples Firikia.

From 1912 to 1997, Milies an independent country community ( kinotita ), from 1997 Eingemeindeung numerous neighboring villages municipality ( dimos ) in the prefecture of Magnesia.
