Mimi Gibson

Mimi Gibson ( * October 19, 1948 in Renton, Washington) is a former American actress.

Life

Mimi Gibson was born in Renton, a suburb of Seattle, in the U.S. state of Washington. She moved with her mother and sister at the age of two years to Los Angeles. Already in the same age she played small roles in several films, including In all my dreams You are ( 1951).

In the 1950s she has appeared in nearly 30 films, such as in Houseboat (1958 ) next to Cary Grant and Sophia Loren, in The Wings of Eagles (1957 ) on the side of John Wayne, in The Ten Commandments (1956 ), Drango (1957) and on the alert for exclusion zone 7 (1957). A major role was in the film The Courage of Black Beauty (1957 ), which was never shown in Germany. Except in movies, she appeared in many popular TV series as a guest star.

In the 1960s, the number decreased film roles. She appeared in only four films, inter alia, as Evelyn in The Children's Hour (1961 ) alongside Audrey Hepburn and Shirley MacLaine. In 1961 she worked for the only time as a voice, and said the role of the dog "Lucky" in the Disney animated film 101 Dalmatians. In the 1960s, she was still in some television series such as My Three Sons and adult would have to be seen. Between 1962 and 1966 she did not work as an actress. 1966, 1967 and 1968 was followed by an ever appearance in a television series. In 1968, she appeared in her last film ... but the blood is always red in appearance.

After her film career Mimi Gibson found out that her mother had spent the earned as a child actor salaries, and they therefore had no more financial resources to attend college. She married at age 20 and left her mother. Although Gibson was later adjourned again with her, she has shaped the experience. As a result, she is encouraging that child actors are allowed to keep a portion of their income. She is active in the organization " A Minor Consideration " which is managed by its houseboat co- child star Paul Petersen.

Gibson lives with her husband in Northern California.
