Minnajima (Motobu, Okinawa)

Minna- shima (Japanese水 纳 岛) is a Japanese island of Okinawa Islands.

Geography

The 0.47 km ² large island located 3.3 km to the west before Sesoko -jima and 5.7 km to the west front of the Motobu Peninsula of Okinawa Island. The highest elevation is 26.9 m. Surrounded is the island of an atoll.

The island, with its 39 inhabitants in 23 households belongs to the suburb Sesoko the community Motobu. Despite the small population, there is a primary and middle school students with 4 (as of 2007). Main products of the community are daikon radish and carrots. In addition, the island depends on tourism and was visited in 2006 by more 60,000 people.
