Minyans

In Greek mythology Minyae was the common name for many generations, which were located in the most ancient times to Iolcus in Thessaly, Orchomenus in Boeotia, Pylos in Messenia and on Lemnos, later to Amyklai, Thera and Cyrene and considered as daring sailors.

Since most Argonauts herstammten of the daughters of the king Minyas or by the countryside of Minyae in Thessaly, Minyae were also called those themselves and particularly their descendants of the Lemnian women.
