Mirador del Estrecho

The Mirador del Estrecho [ miɾaðoɾ del estɾetʃo ] (Spanish for " vantage point the strait ") is an approximately 300 m height at the Strait of Gibraltar (Spanish: Estrecho de Gibraltar) situated lookout in the province of Cádiz in southern Spain. It is located about 6 kilometers north-east of Tarifa on the National Road 340 to Algeciras.

The viewpoint allows an exceptional view across the Strait of Gibraltar. Here you will find a café, a car park and some telescopes. The distance between the European and the African continent is only about 15 km at this point. On a clear day, the view extends as far east as in the west to Ceuta and Tangier.
