Mircea Ionescu-Quintus

Mircea Ionescu - Quintus ( born March 18, 1917 in Kherson, Ukraine) is a Romanian politician, writer and lawyer. He belongs to the liberal PNL.

Prior to the takeover by the Communists Ionescu - Quintus was in 1945 a member of the PNL. During the 1950s, political persecution, in 1990 he was vice-president of the re-established PNL. In the cabinet of Theodor Stolojan Ionescu - Quintus was Minister of Justice. From 1993 to 2001 he served as party leader.

Mircea Ionescu - Quintus, now honorary chairman of the PNL, and 2004 was more liberal senator in the Romanian Parliament.
