Miriam Seegar

Miriam Seegar Whelan (also Miriam Seeger) ( born September 1, 1907 in Greentown, Howard County, Indiana, † January 2, 2011 in Pasadena, California ) was an American actress.

Life

Seegar began in small stages and celebrated its first success in London at the side of Ernest Truex in a West End production. On the screen, she had her first appearance in 1928 in The Price of Divorce director Sinclair Hill on the side of Frances Day and Rex Maurice. In the same year a major role came in the film Valley of the Ghosts. In 1929, she had in several films appearances, including in When Knights Were Bold, on the set, she met her future husband, the writer-director Tim Whelan. 1930, now in Hollywood, was their most active year with roles in six films, including the film The Dawn Trail with the Western film star Buck Jones. In the two following years, 1931 and 1932 she appeared in low-budget productions, and then retired into private life.

Later she worked as an interior designer.
