Mirosław Okoński

Mirosław Okoński ( born December 8, 1958 in Koszalin ) is a retired Polish footballer.

Career

Mirosław Okoński began his career in Poland. He first played from 1969 to 1977 at the Polish second division Gwardia Koszalin and changed it in the Ekstraklasa, the first Polish League to Lech Poznan. In 1980 he moved to first division club Legia Warsaw to again play from 1982 to 1986 when Lech Poznan. During his time in Poland, he was again top scorer and was twice the second best scorer in the league. 1983 and 1984 he won the championship with Lech Poznan. 1982 and 1984 he also won the Polish Cup.

In 1986, Okoński for about 700,000 D- Mark for Hamburger SV in the first division. There he played in the following two seasons 62 Bundesliga games and scored 15 goals. Together with the team he won the 1987 DFB Cup, took 2nd place in the Bundesliga and was in the match for the Supercup.

In 1988 he moved to AEK Athens in the first Greek league. For this club, he completed 77 league games and scored 26 goals. He was Greek with Athens champion in 1989. In the following years, his team finished second and third respectively. In 1991, he joined the team FC Korinthos. For this club he played 18 times in the Premier League and scored four goals.

In 1992 he went back to Poland. There he played at various clubs. In 1993 he moved to Concordia Hamburg and 1994 Raspo Elmshorn in the 5th league. In the last years of his career he had always had problems with alcohol and gambling.

Okoński played 29 games for the Polish national team, where he scored two goals.
