Mirza Mughal

Mirza Mughal (* 1828, † 1857) was the fifth son of India's last Mughal emperor, Bahadur Shah II, His mother was one of the leaders in the harem of the Great Mogul. As designated heir to the throne, however, was at the request of Mirza Jawan Bakht Great Mogul, who came from the connection with his favorite wife Zinat Mahal.

Mirza Mugal took over the Indian rebellion of 1857 a leading role and was one of the few persons of the royal household, who actively supported the rebellion. Mirza Mugal has thus possibly connected the hope to secure the throne. He was instrumental in the organization of the uprising in Delhi. He came during the military conflict in 1857 lost their lives.
