Misak Metsarents

Misag Medzarents (Armenian Միսաք Մեծարենց, Russian Мисак Мецаренц; * January 1886 in Pingian at Harput, † July 5, 1908 in Istanbul) was a poet of the Western Armenian.

Misag Meedzarents, was born in January 1886 as Misag Medzadourian in the village Pingian the Vilayet Mamuretül - Aziz, near Kemaliye. In 1894 he moved with his family to Sivas, where he graduated from the Aramian school. By 1902, he attended the boarding high school in Anatolia Merzifon. From 1902 to 1905 he attended the Central School in the Ottoman capital Istanbul. However, tuberculosis forced him to abandon his education. He died on July 4, 1908 at the age of 22 years.

Despite his short life, he enriched the Armenian poetry with lyrical works. During his lifetime, he was able to publish two editions of his poetry: " Dziadzan " (Rainbow) (1907 ) and " Nor Dagher " (1907 ).
