Features

The crown of the arable snapdragon is pink with dark veins. The annual plant reaches heights of 8 to 30 centimeters and is a Therophyt. Pollination is by bees. The seeds are spread by the wind.

Occurrence

The arable snapdragon is lime-intolerant and prefers sandy to loamy fields and also grows on vines and wastelands. It is found in Europe, the Mediterranean region and western Asia. In Germany it is considered archaeophyte. The arable Snapdragon is classified as endangered in Germany.
