Tree hollows Toad frog ( Trachycephalus resinifictrix )

The tree cave toads frog ( Trachycephalus resinifictrix; Synonym: Phrynohyas resinifictrix ) is within the order of Anura ( Anura ) to the family of tree frogs ( Hylidae ). Some species of the genus present Trachycephalus was led to a major revision of the Hylidae family in 2005 under the name Phrynohyas.

Description

The nocturnal tree hollows toad tree frog reaches a size of up to 8 centimeters. His dark brown base color is streaked with white horizontal bands, spots and dots. The belly is cream-colored, shimmering bluish back to the flanks. The feet with adhesive disks with which they cling to leaves and branches are also brownish colored and provided with a bluish tinge. The located on the back of glandular warts from ( parotid ) but a sticky skin secretion that is used to ward off predators. Because of their very large vocal sacs are males capable of extremely loud sounds on it's own.

Distribution, life

The distribution area extends over the entire Amazon region. The species is widespread, especially in Brazil, Venezuela, Colombia and east of the Andes. It lives exclusively on trees. Here the animals lay their eggs from also. They use water-filled leaves and calyxes.
