Mistery play of Elche

The Misterio de Elche (including mystery plays of Elche, Valencian Misteri d' Elx on [ mistɛɾi ðɛʎtʃ ] ) is a lyrical drama and is very popular since the Middle Ages in Elche. It is a representation of the Assumption of the Mediterranean, where the plot is based on texts from the Apocrypha.

Since 2001, it is one of the Masterpieces of the Oral and Intangible Heritage of Humanity.
