Mitra Farahani

Mitra Farahani ( born January 27, 1975 in Tehran, Iran) is a Paris-based Iranian filmmaker and artist.

Biography

Farahani a character study in Tehran completed in 1997 and has lived in Paris since 1998. There she studied video art. In 2009, she was two weeks imprisoned in Iran because it has been accused her that her films are un-Islamic. She is a member of the jury for the 64th International Film Festival.
