Mitsui

Mitsui Group (Japanese三井 グループMitsui Gurūpu ) is a Japanese keiretsu was established in 1947, who has worked among others in the areas of steel production, telecommunications, chemical industry and logistics. The companies of the Mitsui Group are connected only partially ( cross-over ) Shares together and formally independent of each other.

Precursor of the group is the Mitsui zaibatsu, which was dissolved after the Second World War by the American occupation authorities ( SCAP / GHQ). The founder was Takatoshi Mitsui ( 1622-1694 ).

For the Mitsui Group employs around three million workers worldwide. This Mitsui is the company with the largest number of employees around the world. In addition, it has an annual turnover of more than 100 billion U.S. dollars in 2001 to the 20 best-selling business associations in the world.
