Mitsukejima (Japanese见附 岛, dt " found island ") is a small uninhabited Japanese island in the Sea of Japan off the coast of the Noto Peninsula. It belongs to the city Suzu in Ishikawa Prefecture.

According to tradition, the island of the Japanese monk, scholar and artist Kūkai ( 774-835 ) was discovered on one of his pilgrimages and also named by him.

Mitsukejima is about 150 meters long, 50 meters wide and rises 30 meters above the sea beyond. The island consists mostly of silica.

Because of its distinctive shape, the island is a popular destination for visitors to the Noto Peninsula. She shares with the deserted island Hashima nicknamed Gunkanjima (军舰 岛, dt " battleship island ").
