Moynoq ( Uzbek Moynoq or in Cyrillic Мўйноқ; karakalpakisch Moynaq or Мойнақ; Russian Муйнак, Muinak ) is a city in western Uzbekistan in the autonomous Republic of Karakalpakstan. The former harbor town was located on a peninsula at the southern end of the Aral Sea until the second half of the 20th century. Today, the bank is about 80 kilometers away. The town now lies on the southern edge of the desert Aralkum. Moynoq is the capital of the eponymous district Moynoq.

Moynoq, a former settlement, received in Soviet times in 1963 the status of a city. She was known for fishing, the main employers were a fish canning Combine and the fishing fleet. The industry had to give up because of the dramatic decline in the water level. After the city had given up fishing, emigrated from the majority of the population. Current population figures are not available, the final guaranteed number is 12,900 (1991 ) - a 2009 estimate of 17,619 residents from going.
