Modibo Sidibé

Modibo Sidibé ( born November 7, 1952 in Bamako ) is a politician and served from 2007 to 2011 Prime Minister of Mali. He is a brother of the former Prime Minister Mandé Sidibé.

During his studies Sidibé completed a parachutist and weapons training and earned a number of academic degrees, including 1976 French Perpignan a Maîtrise in Public Law and a Diplôme d'études approfondies 1979 in Aix -en- Provence in Criminal Law and Criminology.

In 1986, Sidibé technical advisor in the Ministry of Defense, but at the same time worked as a chef and later Inspector General of Police. He retained this position until he was sworn in on 28 September 2007 by President Touré as Prime Minister. His government took on 3 October 2007 on official business. Sidibé joined about a year before the scheduled 2012 presidential election on 30 March 2011 back; before the coup in Mali in 2012 was suspected that he prepares for a candidate for the succession of Touré. In fact, Sidibé took up at the polls in 2013. However, he was able to hold only in fourth place.
