MogoÅŸoaia Palace

The Mogoşoaia castle is located in Romania. It is located around 15 kilometers north- west of Bucharest located in a park on the shore of Lake Mogoşoaia. Mogoşoaia Castle is one of the most famous cultural monuments in Romania. The Wallachian prince Constantin Brâncoveanu had the castle in the period 1698-1702, on the estate of a Mogos widow (of which the name originates Mogoşoaia ) in which build upon named him Brâncoveanu architectural style.

In 1912, the castle came into the possession of Prince George III. Valentin Bibesco who was married to the Romanian nobility originating from French writer Marthe Bibesco. This gave his wife the estate. Marthe Bibesco was then extensively restore the castle.
