The Mohaka River is a river in the north of the Hawke 's Bay region in the east of the North Island of New Zealand. He springs from the Ahimanawa Range and flows 70 km in an east - southeasterly direction, then near the settlement of Mohaka, 20 km southwest of Wairoa in the Hawkes Bay to lead.

New Zealand's highest railway bridge, the Mohaka Viaduct, crossing the river near the small settlement of Raupunga.
