Mohamed Haji Mukhtar

Mohamed Haji Mukhtar ( born June 13, 1947 in Bakool, Somalia ) is a professor of history of Africa and the Middle East at the Savannah State University in Savannah, Georgia. He is the author of several publications on the history and society of Somalia and Islam. Mukhtar belongs to the clan of the Leysan - Rahanweyn and is also known as an advocate of the languages ​​spoken by the Rahanweyn Maay dialect of the Somali language.
