Mohamed Mahmoud Ould Louly

Mohamed Mahmoud Ould Ahmed Louly (Arabic: محمد محمود ولد أحمد لولي, DMG Muhammad Mahmud Ahmad walad Luli; ​​* January 1, 1943 in Tidjikdja ) was on June 3, 1979 to January 4, 1980 President of Mauritania and Chairman of the Committee for National rescue.

Life

Louly met in November of independence in 1960 the army and was trained in the French military academies. He then took over various management positions in the government Moktar Ould Daddahs.

In 1978 he was a founding member of the Comité militaire de redressement national ( CMRN ), which on 10 July 1978 the President Moktar Ould Daddah fell under the leadership of Mustafa Ould Salek due to the Western Sahara conflict through a military coup.

Seven months later - on January 4, 1980 - Louly was deposed and replaced by his Prime Minister Col. Mohamed Khouna Ould Haidalla.
