Mohamed Mounir

Mohamed Mounir (Arabic: محمد منير Muhammad Munir, born October 10, 1954 in Aswan ) is an Egyptian musician, who combines the Arabic and partly Sufi music with elements of pop and rock.

Life

Born and raised in Aswan, Mounir went to Cairo in 1971, to study film and photography. After his military service, he turned to music, and was within a few years the idol especially the left-wing students.
