Mohammad Afzal Khan

Mohammed Afzal Khan (* 1811, † October 7, 1867 ) was from 1866 to 1867 Emir of Afghanistan.

He was the son of the founder of the Barakzai dynasty, Dost Mohammed. After the death of his father was only his younger brother Shir Ali Emir of Afghanistan. This was however ousted after only three years of Mohammed Afzal Khan, who, however, died on 7 October 1867. Shir Ali succeeded him on the throne.

His son Abdur Rahman Khan was from 1880 to 1901 Emir of Afghanistan.
