Mohammad Din Zakhil
Ustad Zakhil actually: Din Mohammad Zakhil ( Pashto: محمد دين زاخيل - better known as Ustad Zakhil ) was an Afghan singer and composer.
Biography
Ustad Zakhi came from Nangarhar and was a Pashtun. He composed more than 700 songs for many Afghan singers, including the songs Because Zamoong Zeeba Watan, Pa Loyo Ghro Banday Ra Taw Shwal Toofanona and Sanga Meena Zma Sta Wa
The lyrics and music of " Wro Wro Kaigda Qadamoona Ashna ", which was used in the Hollywood film The Passion of the Christ, was composed and created by him. The song was originally recorded studio by his wife Qamar Gula in 1974 Radio Afghanistan. After the release of the film the Zakhil family engaged an attorney to enforce the copyright for the song of court. The film and the music director of The Passion of the Christ were later sued for it.
