Mohammad Reyshahri

Mohammad Mohammadi Reyschahri, (Persian محمد محمدی ریشهری, DMG Mohammad Mohammadi Ray Sahri; * October 1946 in Ray ) is a Shia scholar with the religious title of Ayatollah. It was dated August 18, 1984 to August 1, 1989 the first head of the Iranian intelligence MOIS.

Reyschahri was the judge, who expressed the convictions in 1980 in the case of Nojeh coup, and 1982, the death penalty against Sadegh Ghotbzadeh. In 1990 he became the first chairman of the Special Court for the Clergy. 1997 Reyschahri stood as a candidate for the Iranian presidential election, but was considered from the outset as a chance. Reyschahri is married to a daughter of Ayatollah Ali Meschkini.
