Moisés Moleiro

Moisés Moleiro (* 1904 in Zaraza, Guárico, † 1979) was a Venezuelan composer and pianist.

Moleiro formed from largely self-taught, only 1924-1927 he studied piano with Salvador Llamozas. He was one of the founding members of Orfeón Lamas and the Orquesta Sinfónica Venezuela and founded by Juan Bautista Plaza, Vicente Emilio Sojo and Jose Antonio Calcaño the Escuela Nacionalista Musical en Venezuela. Over forty years, he was professor of piano and music theory at the Escuela de Música y Declamación.

Moleiros brother was the writer Rodolfo Moleiro. His children are the politician and historian Moisés Moleiro, the writer Federico Moleiro and pianist Carmencita Moleiro.
