Moldovan parliamentary election, 1994

The parliamentary elections in Moldova in 1994 took place on Sunday 27 February 1994. It was the first general election since 1991 in the independent Moldova.

Electoral system

It seats 104 were determined in the Moldovan Parliament for a term of four years. For approved parties was a four -percent electoral threshold. Was selected by proportional representation.

Election result

Election winner was the agricultural Democratic Party of Moldova ( PDAM ). She took 43.18 percent of the vote and thereby received 56 seats in parliament. In second place ended up with 22 percent of the electoral bloc " Socialist Party and Uniform motion " ( BePSMUE ). Third strongest force was the choice block " block of the peasants and intellectuals " (BTI ) with 9.21 percent.
