Molotov Jive

Molotov Jive is coming from the Karlstad, Sweden Rock / Pop / Indie band. They compare themselves with bands like The Beatles, The Who, The Smiths, David Bowie and The Libertines; but also similarities with The Clash, The Kinks and Bruce Springsteen can be seen.

History

Anton and Johan knew each other from the side band project Wendy. After the dissolution of that, they decide to form a new band. This is done quickly with Oskar and Anders in 2003. The following year, they already give first small concerts in Sweden. In 2005, they are taken from the record label Bonnier Amigo under contract. This was followed by tours in the opening act of the Arctic Monkeys, and other bands. Their first album, When it 's all over I'll come back again with the single weight (off my shoulder ) was published on 25 October 2006 in Sweden. It sold so well, even abroad, that it is also in German shops was available in 2007. With this album they toured in late 2006 and early 2007, inter alia, by Germany, as well also as a support for the Swedish rock band Sugarplum Fairy. On 14 February 2007 the Single Valentines Day, which is only available as a download appeared. The success gave the young band in spring 2008 first headlining tours in Europe.

After more than 100 shows all over Europe, the band draws where they are working on their second studio album Songs For The Fallen Apart in the second half of 2008 in the studio back. This appears in Sweden on February 2, 2009 (in Sweden ) and on June 26 in Germany, Austria and Switzerland. It features an exclusive appearance at the Reeperbahn Festival the band in fall 2009 to extensive touring.

In early 2010, the band is already back in the studio to record the third yet untitled album.
