Momo (dumpling)

Momo ( Nepali: म: म :; Tibetan: མོག་མོག་ ) is a Nepalese and Tibetan dumpling, which is especially produced in the region in the Himalayas. Momos are similar to German ravioli, Italian ravioli, Chinese Jiaozi or Russian pelmeni.

The Tibetan word Momo is derived from the Chinese Momo (馍 馍).

Production and ingredients

Momos are made ​​of a noodle -like dough with flour and water. Round dough pieces are then shaped with different fillings for dumplings.
