Monaco national football team

Monaco's national football team ( La Monegasque de Seleciun Munegu ) is the national team of the Principality of Monaco under the direction of the Federation Monegasque de Football. Monaco is not a member of FIFA nor UEFA and therefore does not participate in the qualifying matches for the Football World Cups and European Championships. Monegasque clubs play in the French leagues, including the successful AS Monaco in Ligue 1

So far, played the national Monegasque only against other Nicht-UEFA/FIFA-Mitglieder, including Gibraltar, Chechnya, Occitania, Lapland and Kosovo. When Viva World Cup, an unofficial world championship of the non- FIFA members, Monaco in 2006 reached the second place.
