Monastery of São Vicente de Fora

The Church or Monastery of São Vicente de Fora is a Manueline, originally Romanesque complex of religious buildings in Lisbon. The first monastery was established outside the city walls in 1147 as an Augustinian monastery of Alfonso I and dedicated to Saint Vincent of Saragossa. Under Philip II the church and the monastery received its present appearance.

The Panteão da Casa de Bragança in the monastery is the most important grave lay the Portuguese royal family of the House of Braganza. In Panteão dos Patriarcas de Lisboa, the Patriarch of Lisbon to be buried.
