Monge (crater)

Monge is an impact crater in the east of the Moon front, on the southeastern edge of Mare Fecunditatis, southwest of the crater Cook and northeast of Santbech. The rim is irregularly shaped, moderately eroded, and the interior has concentric structures.

The crater was officially named by the IAU in 1935 after the French mathematician Gaspard Monge.
