Monk's spade
The Yueyachan (Chinese月牙铲/月牙铲, Pinyin yuèyáchǎn, Moon tooth blade ', yuèyáchǎn short for Chinese方便 月牙铲/方便 月牙铲, Pinyin fāngbiàn, Moon Tooth practical shovel, Moon Tooth Upayaschaufel ') is a medieval Chinese pole weapon.
Description
The Yueyachan consists of two blades which are attached to the ends of an approximately 2 meter long rod. A blade shaped as an ax blade, the second blade has the shape of a half moon.
The fighting style with the Yueyachan is. Roughly the same as with the Bő Due to the two-handed guidance, it is possible to attack and defend at the same time. A skilled fighter, it is possible to perform very fast attack and defense combinations.
History
The Yueyachan originated in the Middle Ages in China.
The Fang Bian Chan ( Wade- Giles: fang- pien ch'an ) was used by Chinese, Buddhist monks traveling to go to bury the bodies of dead people and animals. However, it was also used for self-defense.
