Mont- Aux-Sources

Mont- Aux-Sources is a mountain in Africa. It is part of the Drakensberg.

Mont- Aux-Sources was so named by a French missionary, who visited the region in 1836. The top of the mountain is flat and reaches a height of 3282 m. On the mountain there are the sources of the Tugela, the Vaal River and the Orange River. The Orange River flows into the Atlantic Ocean on the west coast of South Africa, during the Tugela flows into the Indian Ocean on the east coast of South Africa. 7 km from the source becomes the Tuguela 947 m over a series of individual waterfalls in the Royal Natal National Park. This is the second longest waterfall in the world.

The highest peak is accessible via the Sentinel Car Park near Witsieshoek a simple hiking trail and several chain conductors.

When Sentinel Car Park there is also the possibility to stay for a few edge in a simple mass storage (about 12 beds).
