The National Park Mont Peko (French Parc national du Mont Peko ) in the west of Ivory Coast is a scenic beautiful area of 340 km ², which is from 40 to 1000 m above sea level. The highest point is Mount Peko, from which the park takes its name.

The National Park is located in the ecoregion of Guinean rainforest. Between May and October 1700 mm rain falls here. The Sassandra River and its tributaries holds year-round water for the animals ready.

In Mont- Peko National Park live mainly buffalo, hippos, some species of monkeys, including chimpanzees, and forest duikers. It also Pel -spine tail squirrels and black duiker were sighted. 1998 inventory of White -necked stilts crows was discovered ( Picathartes gymnocephalus ). There are also leopards, crocodiles and various birds, such as the annamarulae classified by the IUCN as endangered Melaenornis, possibly also the risk Criniger olivaceus and the Senegal Reads. Many copies of the reed frog Kassina schioetzi were found in the northern rain forest zone of the park, beyond Kassina arboricola occurs in the park.

Visitors can stay at the hotels in Abidjan or a few kilometers away Douékoué and reach the paved road between the towns to the national park.
