Montauriol (Lot-et-Garonne)

Montauriol is a commune of 190 inhabitants ( 1 January 2011 ) in the department of Lot- et- Garonne in the Aquitaine region. It belongs to the district of Villeneuve -sur -Lot and Canton Castillonnès.

The place name is derived from the Latin " mons aureolus ", meaning very profane " golden mountain".
