Monthly Weather Review

The journal Monthly Weather Review is a monthly scientific journal published by the American Meteorological Society. In the Journal of Research on analyzes or forecasts of observed or modeled developments in Atmösphäre are described, including reports to the technical development, data collection, model verification and relevant case studies.

The Monthly Weather Review was first published in July 1872 and then published by the United States Army Signal Corps. The Office of the Chief Signal Officer published the magazine until 1891. Then, the meteorological responsibilities of the Signal Corps of the Weather Bureau were transferred, which was under the supervision of the United States Department of Agriculture. In this way, the magazine was published until 1970; at that time the United States Department of the Interior under its National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA ) was created. The NOAA gave the magazine out yet by the end of 1973. Since 1974, it is published by the American Meteorological Society.
