Moondance Alexander

A horse for Moondance is an American comedy drama from 2007, which is based on a true story of director Michael Damian and his wife, who had a pony named Checkers itself.

Action

At the beginning of the story shows how Moondance makes himself at their last day of school for " complete idiots," as she puts it herself. Sadly, she travels with her bike to the cemetery and sit in front of the grave of her father, whom she tells everything.

During the summer holidays she delivers with her bike packets while driving her jumps a free-running horse right in front of the bike. Without further ado, Moondance takes it home and puts it under the shed. The next day is " Checkers ", as they christened the horse himself, picked up by its owner again. When she then delivers a package from yesterday, she goes on the way back on a sharp stone and rolls with the bike down a small slope. There, her gaze falls on Enein signpost that points to a stall, which she follows. In foreign barn finds again checkers, she welcomes happy. Suddenly then emerges a mysterious, reserved and unfriendly at first sight man named Dante and asks her what she would have to look at his property. Stuttering she tells him that she was the one who has his horse found and punches him a deal: You mistet from the stables, feeding the horses around the stable area and is active so to speak as a " maid of all work " and must ride in return for Checkers, who has turned out to be male pinto pony named Tinkerbelle. Dante agrees. The very next day makes Moondance to work.

A month has passed, as Dante and Moondance on a ride on the Oberzicke and the most popular girl at school, Fiona, and her best friend, Megan, meet. These make fun of the now vice baptized checkers, because his race was allegedly not suitable for jumping. When Dante and Moondance to ride then explains Dante Moondance that Checkers could jump quite excellent, which is a rarity for the Pintos. Moondance tried his jumping ability the next day without a saddle and falls from his horse laughing. She persuades the earlier successful jumping coach Dante to help her, and finally the two of them and Checkers on to a show jumping competition. No one believes in them and they all ridicule because of color and origin of their horse. But the competition Moondance finally convinced all in which they flawlessly mastered the course and thus win the competition after a long discussion the referee. This success is also Dante's reputation that was damaged by some wrong decisions, recovered slowly: Soon first interested people who are trained by him and want to place their horses in his report.

At the end of the film Moondance says her father at his grave about the events that depends their victories loop at his grave and tells him that he need not have worried. In the final picture you can see Moondance on Checkers into the sunset on horseback.
