Location and topography

The creek rises to 395 meters above sea level. NN south of Radevormwalder Hofschaft fir, first flows in a southerly direction past Weyer and passes under the high embankment of the disused railway in Wuppertal. Behind the embankment, it forms a piece of the city boundary between Radevormwald and Wipperfuerth before it flows entirely on Wipperfürther area.

It flows past the Hofschaften mountains, figurines, breakage and Leven Hausen and flows to 295 meters above sea level. NN in Bever, a few meters before the traffic jam root of Bevertalsperre.

The main tributaries are the Schlesiepen that Krötelsbeck, the Steinberger Bach and the Leven Siepen. Am Bach several ponds are dammed.
