Moorhead (also called Moorehead ) is a small town in Sunflower County of the U.S. state of Mississippi in the United States. In the 2000 census, the population was 2,573.

In the southwest of the city is through a Blue Song ( "Where the Southern cross the Dog" ) has become known railway Cross: The Illinois Central ( formerly called "Southern " ) crosses here the Yazoo / Delta Railroad ( "Yellow Dog" ), a distance, now part of the Columbus and Greenville Railroad.
