The bog lake is located south of Waren (Müritz) in the district of Mecklenburg Lake District Mecklenburg -Vorpommern and northeast of Lake Müritz in the east of the lake district. The 16.4 -acre water to 62.5 m above sea level. NHN is located in the " Teufelsbruch ", a swampy lowland, within the buffer zone of the Müritz National Park. The lake has a maximum extension of 450 meters by 480 meters. There is a drain for Warnker Sea to the southeast.
