Morbid Saint

Morbid Saint is an American thrash metal band that was founded in 1986 in Sheboygan, Wisconsin, who separated in 1993 and merged in 2010.

History

The band was formed in 1986 by guitarists Jim Fergades and Jay Visser, bassist Mike Chappa and drummer Lee Reynolds. Chappa was replaced by bassist Tony palletizing in the following year and singer Bob Sinjakovic joined the band. Last but remained the band did not last long and was replaced by Pat Lind in 1988. Together they recorded the same year their first demo called Lock Up Your Children.

In 1988 they recorded their first and only album. The album Spectrum of Death was produced by Eric Greif, who also the manager of Chuck Schuldiner and Death was from 1988 to 1992. Morbid Saint played as the opening band for Death on the Metalfest 1989, on the Acrophet also occurred. The album was recorded at Opus Recording in Gurnee, Illinois, was added.

In 1992, the demo Destruction System was released before the band broke up in December 1993.

During the separation, the members devoted themselves to different things: Pat Lind worked as a salesman and played in a band called Sgt Discharge. In addition, he also had employment in a zoo. Jay Visser played in several different bands, got married and had a daughter. Jim Fergades ran his own business. In 2010, the band teamed up again and preparing for a new album. The band stood at Relapse Records. The band now consisted of the members Jim Fergades, Jay Visser, Pat Lind, as well as a new drummer and a new bass player to be featured on the new album.

Style

The band plays very aggressive, fast Thrash Metal. The music is technically demanding and is described as a mix of Dark Angel and Kreator.
