Morne-à-l'Eau

Morne -à- l'Eau is a municipality with 16,767 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2011 ) in the French overseas department of Guadeloupe. It is located in the Grande- Terre on the Grand Cul -de -Sac marin and is the main town of two cantons.

The Canal of Rotours, a canal was built in the 18th century.

Between the sixties and the nineties, the population has doubled.

Plays an important role today is tourism.

The best-known attraction of the place is the cemetery where the dead are buried in small black-and- white-colored house in the form of a mausoleum.
