Morwen Thistlethwaite

Morwen B. Thistlethwaite is a knot theorist and professor of mathematics at the University of Tennessee in Knoxville. He has made ​​significant contributions to knot theory and group theory of Rubik's Cube.

Thistlewaite studied mathematics from 1964 to 1967 at the University of Cambridge and 1967/68 at the University of London ( master's degree ). 1968 to 1972 he was at Manchester University, where he received his doctorate at Michael Barratt.
