Moshe Castel

Moshe Kastel ( משה קסטל; * 1909 in Jerusalem, † 1991 in Tel Aviv) was an Israeli painter.

He was born in the womb of a Sephardic family. Kastel studied at the Bezalel Academy of Arts and Design, at the Académie Julian and the École du Louvre in Paris, the city where he lived for 15 years.

His murals can be seen in several Israeli emblematic buildings: the Binyanei Ha'uma (1958), the Knesset (1966 ) or the residence of the President of Israel (1970).
