Moshe Schnitzer

Moshe Schnitzer ( b. 1921 Chernivtsi, Ukraine, † 16 August 2007) was an Israeli businessman and diamond merchant.

Life

1934 by the then wandered Schnitzer Romania to Israel. At the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, he studied history and philosophy. He was active in the diamond trade. Schnitzer was president of the Israel Diamond Exchange from 1967 to 1993. Together with his son Shmuel Schnitzer, he founded the company in 1960 M. Schnitzer & Co. His grandson is the entrepreneur Dan Gertler.
