F Mount Alvernia is 63 meters, the highest point of the island nation of Bahamas. It is located on Cat Iceland and on his " summit " is the monastery of The Hermitage, built by a Franciscan from the UK. The name alludes to the mountain of La Verna in Tuscany, on the St. Francis of Assisi received the stigmata of Jesus Christ in 1224.
