Mount Archer

Location

The mountain is located in Central Queensland, northeast of the city of Rockhampton, on the Tropic of Capricorn, about 40 miles inland from the Pacific Ocean, about 520 kilometers north- west of Brisbane, and the mountainous range of the Berserker Ranges.

At the summit, which is reached by a road ( Pilbeam Drive), is the small town of Mount Archer. For tourists, there are various viewpoints and some picnic areas.

National park

The area around Mount Archer is identified as Mount Archer National Park since 1994. Its size is about 36 square kilometers.
