Mount Cap formation

The Mount Cap or Cap Mountain is 1570 m, the highest elevation of the Franklin Mountains in Canada's Northwest Territories.

It is south of the Franklin Mountains east of the Mackenzie River.

After the mountain the Mount Cap Formation is named, a geological unit that extends from the Franklin Mountains around Mount Cap to the westerly Mackenzie Mountains.
